Jaclyn Fenske, Staff Herbalist and Mindfulness Instructor
Jaclyn’s passion for herbs began after she was healing from her first birth. Like many women, she struggled to breastfeed as well as experienced postpartum depression. Her partner gifted her the Foundations in Herbalism Program class in 2014 from the Equinox Center of Herbal Studies in Fort Collins, CO. In class she found a deeper understanding of her struggles, grace for her healing process and felt empowered and driven to continue to practice herbalism.
Jaclyn continues to use herbs on a daily basis in her home and at work, at the Golden Poppy Apothecary. She enjoys connecting with other herbalists and customers. She finds a deep love for sharing and learning as a community.
She holds a Master of Divinity from Naropa University and is a mindfulness instructor.
As a mother of two, Jaclyn weaves herbalism and mindfulness into the rhythms of daily family life, finding joy in playing, crafting, and exploring the body-heart-mind connection with the community. She is passionate about nurturing the well-being of children, families and strengthening the health of the wider community.
Kindness and compassion to self and others is the cornerstone of her practice as a spiritual companion. It is with deep reverence and curiosity that Jaclyn accompanies others as they discover their innate wisdom.
In addition to working at the Golden Poppy, she is employed as a mindfulness instructor at Naropa University and continues to expand her offerings. She offers one-on-one mindfulness instruction, a community mindfulness practice group, and various classes.
Look out for her class offerings at the Poppy. She loves offering herbal gift making classes for Teen-makers and Mini-makers! These classes, for teens and children, integrate herbal product making with a mindful approach to intentional gift giving to loved ones.
