Introducing Sacred Wyld: Ethical Harvest and Rites of Passage

Tuesday September 1  |  6:30-8 pm  |  Free

Through immersive mentorship, community participation, and ethically harvested sustenance, Sacred Wyld helps people become more grounded, capable, and connected to themselves, their food, and the living systems that sustain them.

With this talk, we want to introduce Sacred Wyld's offerings to the Golden Poppy community and be in conversation about how we source high-quality nourishment for Colorado households, while also providing a pathway for individuals and families to learn life-sustaining skills and build real-world relationships with land, animals, and each other.

Wes Atkinson is a lifelong hunter, guide, and animal lover with a desire to bridge people to the animal kingdom and bring more awareness to our interconnectedness.

Joanna Kraft has a background in organic farming, catering and restaurant work, and nose-to-tail animal processing - all rooted in a passion for cultivating sustainable food systems.

Together, as Sacred Wyld, they are devoted to whole body nourishment and initiatory experiences rooted in the exploration of reciprocity, embodiment, and responsible participation with all of life.

You can find them on Instagram at @sacred_wyld and on their website: www.sacredwyld.com

Registration is free, but space is limited, so please sign up to come, and please let us know if you can’t make it so we have space for others.

The Way of the Chocolate Taoist

Sunday, September 20  |  12-4 pm  |  FREE

Join us for an afternoon of books, conversation, and thoughtful reflection as we celebrate "The Way of the Chocolate Taoist" with a special book signing at Golden Poppy Herbal Apothecary in Fort Collins on Sunday, September 20, from 12-4 pm.

Created in partnership with Zenit Journals, The Way of the Chocolate Taoist is more than a book. It is a guide, a reflective journal, and an invitation to slow down and engage more deeply with your own life. Drawing on Taoist and Buddhist wisdom, along with stories and insights from my own nomadic journey, it offers practical journaling prompts and contemplative exercises designed to encourage greater clarity, freedom, and authentic human connection.

From the author:

"Whether you’re already familiar with Eastern philosophy or simply curious about living with a little more intention in an increasingly noisy world, I’d love to meet you. Stop by to have your copy signed, ask questions, explore the journal, and share in meaningful conversation with fellow readers and seekers.

If you’ve been looking for a fresh perspective on personal growth that values curiosity over certainty and presence over perfection, I think you’ll feel right at home."

We hope you’ll join us at Golden Poppy Herbal Apothecary on Sunday, September 20, from (time to (time). Come say hello, bring a friend, and let’s enjoy a robust conversation together.
